The DS200TCPSG1AKE GE Power Supply DC Input Board contains three fuses, one 16-pin connector and one 9-pin connector as well as multiple test points. Its primary function is to convert the 125 VDC power from the TCPD board in the core into the necessary voltages required by various components. When this board stops performing its normal operations, the first step in troubleshooting is to examine the three fuses. The fuses prevent damage to the board by shutting down the board if too much current is present in the board or if an irregularity has occurred in the current. It is best practice to have an inventory supply of the fuses with the same rating in case the fuses blow. It is important that they are exactly the same rating because a different fuse might expose the board to an over-current condition that can lead to damage.
