Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving Day (Thanksgiving Day), a traditional Western holiday, is a festival unique to the American people and a holiday for Americans to get together. There is no fixed date for Thanksgiving at the beginning. It is temporarily determined by the states. Until 1863, after the independence of the United States, President Lincoln declared Thanksgiving a national holiday. [1] In 1941, the United States Congress officially designated the fourth Thursday of November as "Thanksgiving". The Thanksgiving holiday usually runs from Thursday to Sunday.

The Canadian Parliament of 1879 declared November 6th a Thanksgiving and a national holiday. In subsequent years, the date of Thanksgiving changed several times, until January 31, 1957, when the Canadian Parliament declared the second Monday of October as Thanksgiving.
